Resize GIFs while keeping animation
Use this when a GIF needs to fit a blog post, product page, profile image, or document width. The animation is kept while the GIF is saved at the new size.
Adjust the width first if you want to keep the original ratio. Very small sizes can make text and fine detail hard to read, so check the preview before downloading.
The GIF is re-encoded in the browser, so camera or location metadata is not added to the output. Sensitive files can stay on your device.
Profile images are usually close to square, while blog content tends to fit a width of 600 to 800px. Check the recommended size where you plan to post first, so you do not have to resize again later.
Enlarging a small GIF does not add detail that was not there and usually looks blurry. Starting from a large enough original and scaling down to the size you need gives a cleaner result.
